omar santana  [h20h rec., la]
2am-3am
This tale from the hardside begins back in the early '80's in the metropolis that we know as New York City. John "Jellybean" Benitez's residency at The Funhouse Club in Manhattan had fulfilled the job of inspiring a whole new generation to take the sound of dance music well into the future and beyond.

One of these disciples went by the name of Omar Santana. Straight outta the borough of Queens in New York, Omar slowly began to make a name for himself by Dj'ing as part of the Dynamic Rockers crew, putting on jams, sound-battles and creating a solid underground vibe to rock the city with. Through this, Omar started linking up with likes of Arthur Baker as well as the Tommy Boy and Sleeping Bag Records camps. This led on to much studio action as he started producing in a big way and during the '80's worked alongside some of the true sound pioneers like Mantronix, Boogie Boys, T la Rock and Stetsasonic.

The man was now on a proper roll and going from strength to strength by editing and remixing such artists as Public Enemy, Janet Jackson, Simply Red, Quincy Jones and The Rolling Stones. The list is endless..... Omar was in serious demand and very quickly became known as one of the "Editing Kings" who would consequently stand the test of time as an inspiration for all future warriors in the trade of cut-up beats and sound.c.

demigod [ultima prod., la]
11:30pm-12:30am
Referred to as the "godfather" of hardcore by Urb magazine, is perhaps one of the most influential and respected figures in the American Hardcore scene. Originating from the Bay Area rave community circa 1991, Dj Demigod quickly established himself as a true pioneer of the hardcore sound. After securing Northern California by performing at practically all the legendary events such as the first Cyberfest, the first Armageddon, and more, Dj Demigod packed up and moved to Hollywood the week after he graduated highschool in 1993 to help promote and expand his musical career. When asked why he decided to move down to Southern California at such a young age all by himself, Dj Demigod replied, "I was getting a hell of a lot of gigs in LA so what the hell." Dj Demigod has over the years built up a performance track record to rival any dj. With multiple performances at events thrown by mega-promoters such as CPU101, Coolworld, Technostate, Go Ventures, Philipsyed, Opium, and Chemically Unbalanced just to name a few, Dj Demigod quickly cemented himself into the minds of tens of thousands of people throughout the country.

dutchboy [underground culture, la]
7:30pm-8:30pm
During the years since his first encounter with hardcore techno, Dutchboy has grown as a DJ as well as a producer. These years have seen Dutchboy rise up into one of the L.A. Underground's most well-respected hardcore DJs, co-founder of L.A's only Hardcore Techno booking agencies, Underground Culture, venturing into a new form of dance music called hardstyle, and an accomplished producer of hardcore music, having his records released on various domestic and international labels. He also established Undercover Records, of which the first release features a remix from Dr. Zvago and is growing to host more remixes and original tracks from talented hardcore producers all over the globe. His next upcoming release will be on the world-renowned, Dwarf Records. This L.P. features a track from Dutchboy and another track with Swiss DJ/Producer, Miss Flower. This release is expected to gain more respect for the L.A. hardcore scene as it has a remix from The Viper from Holland and The Reactor from Italy. This important release also shows that Underground Culture is working hard to unite the European hardcore scene with L.A.

His newest venture is opening up a very much needed record store that unites all dance music under one roof. The record store will feature everything from house, breaks, trance, techno, drum 'n bass, and of course, hardcore.

diehard [underground culture, la]
6:30pm-7:30pm
In 1992, at the ripe old age of 12 years old, Diehard discovered the wonders of his first techno party. During that time, the music now known as "Old School" was progressively becoming harder and more aggressive.

Soon after Diehard starting going to parties, hardcore techno was introduced to the Los Angeles underground by DJs such a Delta 9, Tron, RAW, DJ Trance and Ron D. Core. It was the first time that Diehard had heard any music that provoked so much response and energy from the crowd and he knew he had to get his hands on some of it. At this point, Diehard began his "well known" collection of what have become "the classics."

Years later, Diehard has become known as one of LA's best hardcore DJs with an ever growing fan base throughout the underground community. Lately, Diehard has been busy promoting his own events with his production company, Hard Drive, producing on exlusive hardcore labels such as D-Boy Records (Italy), and, with Underground Culture, Diehard is helping to create a better LA hardcore scene.
